Popular Nigerian Pastor Ready To Be Deported From UK For; See Details
The British Government is set to deport popular pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, to Nigeria after losing his case against deportation at the immigration tribunal. According to source, the UK government shut down his church, SPAC Nation, after investigations revealed the ministry’ s misuse of finances. The church was reportedly closed by UK authorities after Adegboyega failed to properly account for more than £1. 87 million in outgoings and operated with a lack of openness.....Read Full Article>>
However, according to reports, an immigration panel concluded that he should be deported to Nigeria following investigations. Adegboyega has been living illegally in the UK since 2005, when he arrived on a visitor’ s visa. In 2019, the pastor sought leave to remain under the ECHR’ s right to family life. His application was first denied by a first- tier immigration tribunal before he later appealed.
Having been married to a British woman, the pastor claimed deportation would breach his right under the European Convention of Human Rights to a family life and failed to consider his community work with SPAC.
His legal team portrayed him as a ‘ charismatic’ community leader of a huge, well- organized church who had ‘ intervened in the lives of many hundreds of young people, mostly from the black communities in London, to guide them away from danger’ .
Politicians, including former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and top members of the Metropolitan Police had ‘ lauded’ his efforts, he claimed, but no testimony from them was presented to the court.
However, the Home Office claimed that ‘ everything is not as it looks’ and took him to an immigration tribunal.
According to the verdict, which was published by the media, the tribunal considered evidence against the Nigerian preacher.
It reads, ” Various manifestations of [Mr Adegboyega’ s] church have been closed down, by either the Charity Commission or the High Court, because of concerns over its finances and lack of transparency.
” Former members of the church have alleged that it is a cult, in which impoverished young people are encouraged to do anything they can to donate money, including taking out large loans, committing benefit fraud and even selling their own blood.
” It is alleged that church leaders live lavish lifestyles and that there have been instances of abuse. The [Home Office’ s] case before us stated that all of this must be considered when determining whether [Mr Adegboyega] is truly valuable to the UK. ”
Speaking at the tribunal, Adegboyega denied that his church was a cult, and that attacks on him and the church were politically motivated.
He also claimed that no one had ever faced criminal charges for his church’ s finances, and that his deportation would violate his human rights.
However, the tribunal was informed that the Charity Commission determined ‘ there had been serious misconduct and/or mismanagement in the administration of the charity which was perpetuated over a significant period of time’ .
The tribunal also found Adegboyega’ s evidence to be ” hyperbolic in many instances’ and had ‘ sought to grossly inflate his influence. ”
A lot of people have reacted to this news, someone said; ” He thinks London is like Nigeria, where people do whatever they like. Please don’ t deport him back to Nigeria. Just send him to prison” .
Another person wrote; ” This is a serious matter, especially if the wife and children will not return with him! ! ! May God come through for him in Jesus name” .

The bank also mentioned that the EEP was introduced in response to requests from staff representatives via the JCC, who advocated for the package to be expanded to include all employees.
“This is an internal corporate matter intended to enhance opportunities for our staff,” Ali added.

Barely Hours After Biafra Declaration, See Critical Message IPOB Sent To Obasanjo
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly advised former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo to refrain from any involvement in the upcoming Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership election. The group emphasized that this electoral process is strictly an internal issue of the Igbo people and should not be influenced by outsiders.....Read Full Article>>
This statement from IPOB follows reports that certain individuals are planning to meet Obasanjo at his Otta Farm to seek his input on the leadership contest. IPOB has condemned such actions, arguing that the Igbo community should independently determine the leadership of their apex socio- cultural organization.
In a press release issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB stressed that the leadership selection process must adhere to the constitutional framework of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
The group pointed out that the organization’ s constitution mandates rotational leadership, ensuring that different Igbo states take turns in producing the President- General. IPOB insisted that it is now the turn of Rivers State Igbos to provide a credible candidate for the position.
The pro- Biafra organization also voiced its concerns about alleged attempts by certain factions within Ohanaeze Ndigbo to manipulate the electoral process and marginalize Igbos from specific regions.
IPOB warned that any such exclusionary tactics would not only violate the founding principles of the organization but also jeopardize the unity and solidarity of Ndigbo.
According to IPOB, the integrity of Ohanaeze Ndigbo depends on its ability to uphold justice, equity, and fairness in all its dealings. The group called on stakeholders to prioritize the selection of a competent and representative leader, rather than succumbing to political maneuvering or external pressures. It urged all parties to ensure that the election process is transparent and respects the rotational leadership principle outlined in the organization’ s constitution.
Additionally, IPOB cautioned non- Igbo stakeholders, including Obasanjo, to respect the autonomy of the Igbo community and refrain from meddling in matters that are purely cultural and regional. The group emphasized that external interference could undermine the credibility of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and provoke unnecessary tension within the Igbo community.
As the election approaches, IPOB has called on Igbos to remain vigilant and united in protecting the integrity of the leadership process. The group reiterated its commitment to advocating for the rights and unity of the Igbo people and ensuring that the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo reflects the collective will of the community.

President declares emergency martial law
South Korea president declares emergency martial law
South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol, on Tuesday, declared emergency martial law, accusing the opposition of being “anti-state forces intent on overthrowing the regime” amid parliamentary wrangling over a budget bill.....Read Full Article>>
“To safeguard a liberal South Korea from the threats posed by North Korea’s communist forces and to eliminate anti-state elements plundering people’s freedom and happiness, I hereby declare emergency martial law,” Yoon said in a live televised address to the nation.
“With no regard for the livelihoods of the people, the opposition party has paralysed governance solely for the sake of impeachments, special investigations, and shielding their leader from justice,” he added.
The surprise move comes as Yoon’s People Power Party and the main opposition Democratic Party continue to bicker over next year’s budget bill. Opposition MPs last week approved a significantly downsized budget plan through a parliamentary committee.
The opposition has slashed approximately 4.1 trillion won ($2.8 billion) from Yoon’s proposed 677 trillion won budget plan, cutting the government’s reserve fund and activity budgets for Yoon’s office, the prosecution, police and the state audit agency.
“Our National Assembly has become a haven for criminals, a den of legislative dictatorship that seeks to paralyse the judicial and administrative systems and overturn our liberal democratic order,” Yoon said.
Assembly closed
Yoon, a former prosecutor, accused opposition lawmakers of cutting “all key budgets essential to the nation’s core functions, such as combatting drug crimes and maintaining public security… turning the country into a drug haven and a state of public safety chaos.”
The president went on to label the opposition, which holds a majority in the 300-member parliament, as “anti-state forces intent on overthrowing the regime”.
Yoon described the imposition of martial law as “inevitable to guarantee the continuity of a liberal South Korea,” adding that it would not impact the country’s foreign policy.
“I will restore the country to normalcy by getting rid of anti-state forces as soon as possible,” he said, without elaborating further other than the martial law in place.
He described the current situation as South Korea “on the verge of collapse, with the National Assembly acting as a monster intent on bringing down liberal democracy”.
With martial law imposed, all military units in the South, which remains technically at war with the nuclear-armed North, have been ordered to strengthen their emergency alert and readiness postures, Yonhap news agency reported.
The entrance to the National Assembly has been sealed, and MPs have been barred from entering the building, according to Yonhap.
The imposition of emergency martial law comes as Yoon’s approval rating dropped to 19 percent in the latest Gallup poll last week, with many expressing dissatisfaction over his handling of the economy and controversies involving his wife, Kim Keon Hee.

Meanwhile, the EFCC in the court documents which SaharaReporters obtained on Tuesday revealed how Emefiele used three companies to acquire the property.....Read Full Article>>
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has narrated before Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, how former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr Godwin Emefiele used three companies to pay N2.2 billion to buy a sprawling estate in the Apo area of Abuja, containing 753 Duplexes which has now been forfeited to the Nigerian government.
SaharaReporters had earlier exclusively reported that operatives of the EFCC found a “receipt for roofing” of the large estate in Abuja with in the home of Emefiele, during a search by operatives in Lagos State.
Meanwhile, the EFCC in the court documents which SaharaReporters obtained on Tuesday revealed how Emefiele used three companies to acquire the property.
In an affidavit in support of the Motion on Notice in suit No FCT/HC/M/14519/2024, in Re: Application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for an order of final forfeiture of property contained in schedule, the EFCC said the “property is reasonably suspected to have been acquired and or developed with proceeds of unlawful activity pursuant to section 17 of the advance fee fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act No. 14, 2006 and Section 44 (2) B of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
The anti-graft agency named the three companies linked to Emefiele as ‘Ice Frozen Food & Ventures’, ‘Kelvito Integrated Service, and Ifeadigo Integrated Services.
Idi Musa, an investigating officer with the EFCC, who deposed the affidavit, stated that the Commission whilst investigating the alleged monumental fraud carried out by the immediate past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Emefiele and his cronies traced and discovered several properties reasonably suspected to have been acquired and or developed with proceeds of unlawful activities.

Musa in his deposition avowed that on the 17th day of September, 2024 the commission located the property with the assistance of a surveyor from Abuja Geographical Information Systems (AGIS) using search result and coordinate.
According to him, upon locating the said property and names of persons to have ever associated with the property, letters of investigation were sent to relevant banks requesting for the opening packages of the said companies used in funding and developing the said property.
Tracing the property, the investigation officer revealed that the said land known as Plot 109, lying and situated at Cadastral Zone C09 was initially allocated to Windermere Nigeria Limited on the 15th day of September, 2010 for mass housing development.

However, the title of the property was later transferred to M.G Property Limited via an executed Deed of Assignment. Sometime in August 2021, the said M.G Properties transferred its title to H & Y Business Global Limited.
He further revealed that the said H & Y Business Global Limited is also being investigated for acquiring one of the properties forfeited in the interim by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, and also for the sum of N2.2billion paid on behalf of Emefiele.
Musa maintained that the monies H & Y Business Global Limited used for the acquisition of the property were not from their legitimate income but rather were fraudulently procured by Godwin Emefiele and his cronies to disguise and conceal the unlawful origin of the funds used in the acquisition of the properties.
emefiele
According to the deponent, further investigations revealed that three different companies were used in paying and acquiring the property now sought to be finally forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The court document said, “That Ifeadigo Integrated Services’ is one of the three companies used in the acquisition of the property sought to be forfeited.
“That in the course of the fraudulent acquisition of the property sought to be forfeited, Ifeadigo Integrated Services was procured to transfer the sum of N900,000,000.00 reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities to the account of M.G Properties Limited. The account statement evidencing the said payment is hereby attached and marked EXHIBIT EFCC 02.
“That the second company that was procured and used in the acquisition of the property sought to be forfeited is ‘Kelvito Integrated Service.
“That the said Kelvito Integrated Service, transferred the sum of N700,000,000.00 (Seven Hundred Million Naira only) reasonably suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities to M.G Properties Limited. The account statement evidencing the said payment is hereby attached and mark EXHIBIT EFCC 03.
“That the third company used in the fraudulent acquisition of the property sought to be forfeited is one ‘Ice Frozen Food & Ventures’.”
Musa revealed that the said Ice Frozen Food & Ventures was procured to retain and transfer the sum of N600 million reasonably suspected to be proceed of unlawful activities to M.G Properties Limited for the acquisition of the said property, now sought to be forfeited in the interim to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“That MG Properties received the aggregate sum of N2,200,000,000.00 (Two Billion, Two Hundred Million Naira only) from Ifeadigo Integrated Services, Kelvito Integrated Service and Ice Frozen Food & Ventures vide its account. The account statement of MG Properties evidencing the said payment is hereby attached and mark EXHIBIT EFCC 04.
“That the said three companies used for the payment of the property are enmeshed in criminal maneuvering of layering proceeds of illegal activities of Mr. Godwin Emiefele.
“That the directors of Ifeadigo integrated Services and Kelvito Integrated Service were arrested and their statement voluntarily obtained in the course of investigation. The said extra judicial statements are hereby attached and marked exhibit EFCC 05(a) & (b) respectively.”
SaharaReporters on Monday reported that Emefiele owned the large estate in Abuja with 753 duplexes forfeited to the Nigerian government through the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in a court ruling.
Human rights activist and convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore, had confirmed the development in a post on his Twitter.
Emefiele is standing trial on several charges bordering on corruption, including in the new naira redesign before the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court in Maitama, Abuja.
Justice Maryann Anenih had adjourned the matter till December 4, 2024, and January 21, 2025 for continuation of trial.
Sowore had earlier blasted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for refusing to name the former Nigerian “top brass” who owned the large estate in Abuja with 753 duplexes.
Sowore, former presidential candidate for the African Action Congress (AAC) in the 2023 general elections, had noted on Monday that the EFFC was now afraid of big thieves and has become their public relations officer.
In an update, the human rights activist said, “I just heard from the grapevine that the 753 duplexes forfeited by an FCT court in Apo belong to Muhammadu Buhari’s CBN gov, Godwin Emefiele.”
SaharaReporters earlier reported that Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie, on Monday, ordered the final forfeiture of an estate in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, measuring 150,500 square metres and containing 753 Units of duplexes and other apartments.
The EFCC said in a release that this was the single largest asset recovery by the Commission since its inception in 2003.
The estate rests on Plot 109 Cadastral Zone C09, Lokogoma District, Abuja.
