The male students said to be in SS2, allegedly humiliated and beat up their Physics teacher, Mr Muktar Salihu. Abdulbatin, the alleged leader of the group, is said to be the son of a traditional ruler in the area.

As at the time of writing this report, the teacher who went into coma is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. One of the school teachers has however called on relevant agencies to assist the school in curbing the activities of the ‘boys’

“We urge the State Ministry of Education, State Education Board, the security agencies and other relevant authorities to urgently swing into action with a view to bring the perpetuators to book, forestall future occurences and instill discipline in our schools and colleges” the teachers stated.
