Also, one of the occupants of the house was seen and heard saying they were content creators and not internet fraudsters.
However, drama unfolded when the occupants refused to open the gate for the policemen. In the video, one of the policemen shot into the air while the other scaled the fence of the house and entered the building.
Reacting to the video, Erediauwa Peter, @ErediauwaP, wrote, “@PoliceNG you guys are seeing what is going on in this country. We are no longer safe. With my little understanding, those people are supposed to show their ID before anything. Now, in this case,, if the civilians had retaliated. It will be their fault Abi”.
Also, Mezie Abia, @MezieAbia, said, “Here is the Nigerian police repeating same mistake that just saw to the death of an EFCC official. Why is it that security forces in Nigeria abhor professionalism? In this country, we always don’t learn from history.
BTW, has the police taken over the job of arresting internet fraudsters from the EFCC? It is only in Nigeria that the police does the job of the police, does that of EFCC, does that of NDLEA, and does that of FRSC. No sense of direction – jack of all trades, master of none”.
