Donald Trump has hinted at uncertainty over his ability to use the funds raised for a potential political campaign, given the constitutional limit of two presidential terms....Read Full Article >>➤

Addressing Congressional Republicans in Miami, on Monday, Trump noted, “I’ve raised a lot of money for the next race that I assume I can’t use for myself, but I’m not 100 per cent sure.”

His remarks sparked laughter as he added, “I think I’m not allowed to run again, but I’m not sure. Am I, Mike?” referring to Republican House Leader, Mike Johnson, as reported by AFP.

The funds in question highlight Trump’s enduring political influence and his ability to rally financial support even after completing his second term in the White House.

His presidency marks a historic milestone, as he became only the second US president to serve two non-consecutive terms.

The money raised underscores his popularity within the Republican Party and his ability to keep the political conversation centred on his potential future role.

Despite the US Constitution’s 22nd Amendment barring presidents from serving more than two terms, a Republican lawmaker recently introduced a resolution to amend the Constitution to allow Trump to run again.

Trump’s comments suggest an ongoing focus on his political legacy and his ability to mobilize financial resources, regardless of constitutional limitations.

The former president has frequently joked about extending his time in office. During a Nevada rally, he quipped, “It will be the greatest honour of my life to serve not once, but twice—or three times or four times.”
