Pastor Adeboye shared his prophetic declarations during the RCCG Crossover Service at Shimawa, Ogun State, where he described 2025 as a year that would leave a lasting impression on Nigerians. According to Adeboye, the year would bring significant challenges, with many people struggling to endure the hardships ahead. He said, ” The year 2025 will be a landmark year, a year nobody will ever forget, ” and added that the challenges of the previous year would only intensify.
He further prophesied that earthly helpers would be replaced by heavenly ones, and that many mockers would not survive the year. The pastor emphasized that God’ s will is for sinners to repent, but some would continue in their ways and face consequences. Additionally, he predicted that certain towns and villages would experience victory by the end of 2025.
However, Portable dismissed these prophecies, labeling them as unfounded. He criticized Pastor Adeboye for using fear tactics, claiming the predictions were meant to manipulate the public. Portable declared that he and his family would not be affected by such ominous declarations and argued that the prophecies were merely an attempt to control people’ s minds.
The disagreement has sparked widespread discussion, with some Nigerians supporting Portable’ s skepticism, while others defend Pastor Adeboye’ s spiritual insight. This clash highlights the ongoing debate about the influence of religious prophecies and their impact on public sentiment, raising questions about their role in shaping perceptions and attitudes.
