The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reported the elimination of several terrorists during a coordinated air interdiction mission aimed at supporting power restoration efforts in Kaduna and other northwestern states.....Read Full Article>>

This information was disclosed in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, on Monday in Abuja.

Akinboyewa stated that on November 1, the NAF executed a series of air interdiction operations targeting terrorist positions deep within the Alawa Forest in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

He emphasized that this mission is part of ongoing efforts to secure power infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted progress in restoring electricity to affected areas.

According to him, the airstrike was conducted following a series of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that confirmed the presence of terrorist fighters converging to disrupt power restoration activities.

The air component, acting swiftly on the intelligence gathered, successfully planned and executed the airstrike to neutralise the threat.

“Overhead the target area, NAF crews observed and engaged the terrorists, neutralising several fighters and their logistics with precise firepower,” Akinboyewa reported.

In addition to these interdictions, the NAF has intensified armed reconnaissance along critical power lines from Shiroro Lake to Damba, maintaining airspace dominance to prevent any potential terrorist interference in the restoration efforts.

“This sustained mission underscores NAF’s commitment to collaborate with other security agencies in protecting vital infrastructure and ensuring the swift and full restoration of essential services for Kaduna and neighboring states,” he added. (NAN)

Man Utd get double boost ahead of PAOK clash – HEARD VOICE NEWS ONLINE

Europa League: Man Utd get double boost ahead of PAOK clash....Read Full Article>>

Manchester United has been handed a double injury boost ahead of their UEFA Europa League clash with PAOK on Thursday.

Man United’s interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy could be with the likes of Leny Yoro and Christian Eriksen against the Greek champions.

Both players trained with the rest of the Manchester United squad during Wednesday’s open session at Carrington.

The duo have been recovering from injury, having missed some of the Red Devils’ matches.

Yoro suffered a foot injury in July but this is a positive sign and marks the next stage in his rehabilitation.

Eriksen, for his part, missed Van Nistelrooy’s two games in interim charge so far.

The Denmark international picked up a knock in the defeat to West Ham and was unavailable for the win over Leicester City and draw with Chelsea.

Zubairu’s side successfully defended their crown at the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Lome, Togo, last month.

They defeated eternal rivals, Ghana 2-1 in the final.

The Flying Eagles also secured a place at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Despite their success in Lome, the gaffer said his team is still a work of progress.

“I’m somewhat dissatisfied with our defence; we were conceding goals consistently. This vulnerability cannot be overlooked on a larger stage,” he made this statement during a meeting with members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kwara State Chapter, in Ilorin on Monday.

Belgium: Genk want to win league title -- Arokodare

Tolu Arokodare has said that KRC Genk want to win the Belgian Pro League title this season.....Read Full Article>>

The Smurfs consolidated their lead at the top of the log with a 2-0 win over Royal Antwerp on Sunday.

Genk now occupy top spot on the table with 31 points from 13 matches.

Arokodare believed they can win the title if they maintain the same momentum.

“If we can continue to win matches like this, then of course we want to become champions, but that is still far too early to say. We just have to remain disciplined now,” Arokodare declared.

“We were all fantastic (vs Antwerp). From the goalkeeper to the players on the bench and the coaches.”
