Erling Haaland’s father, Alfie, has mocked Arsenal after they hammered Manchester City 5-1 in the Premier League on Sunday....Read Full Article >>➤
His son was mocked by the home supporters throughout the game.
First, Gabriel screamed in Haaland’s face as he celebrated Martin Odegaard’s opener in the second minute.
Then Myles Lewis-Skelly imitated the Norwegian’s signature meditation celebration after scoring the Gunners’ third.
Finally, after the final whistle went, Kendrick Lamar’s song ‘Humble’ was played inside the Emirates Stadium.
It was an apparent reference to Haaland following the reverse fixture in September, when he told Arsenal to ‘Stay Humble’.
Arsenal then posted an image of Lewis-Skelly sitting down with his team-mates surrounding him, along with the comment: “This team.”
Alfie quote-tweeted that post and wrote: “«This Team» that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not.”
His son endured a difficult day, aside from scoring his side’s equaliser 10 minutes after half-time.
Thomas Partey quickly put the hosts back in front before Lewis-Skelly’s goal put the hosts in a commanding position.
They wrapped up the rout with late goals from Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri.
