Adeleke signed the appropriation bill at the Exco Lounge, Governor’s Office, in the presence of his cabinet members and representatives of the legislative arm.
According to the Nation reports, the House of Assembly passed the bill after adding N37 billion to the N390 billion proposal presented to the House by Adeleke.
In signing the 2025 budget, entitled the ‘Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development’, Adeleke commended the legislature and his cabinet members.
“We are here to further demonstrate our readiness to forge ahead in the New Year with the growth and development of our dear State. For record purposes, the budget I am signing today is titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation’. The total sum for the 2025 budget is ₦427,746,925,170.00.
“Consequently, I direct Ministries, Agencies, and Departments to vigorously pursue the implementation for the benefit of the citizens of the state. Our budget performance must continue to be commendable on a quarterly basis.”
Adeleke directed the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development to monitor the implementation process to ensure delivery according to targets and expectations.
He assured residents that the budget will be rigorously implemented to meet all expectations.
