The incident occurred around 12:03 am, with the kidnappers wielding AK-47 rifles and wearing military uniforms. According to eyewitnesses, the kidnappers invaded the community, abducting five people from four houses before targeting the village head’s residence.
The victims include Ephraim and Philemon, the village head’s grandchildren, and Nicholas, who had just returned from the hospital where his wife gave birth. The kidnappers operated for nearly 30 minutes, shooting sporadically as they escaped with their victims.
Soldiers arrived at the scene, but the kidnappers had already fled. The FCT police command has confirmed the incident, but details are still scarce.
