The playoffs will take place at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night.
DAILY POST reports that it will be the eighth time the Turpin has taken charge of a game involving Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The French official has taken charge of Real Madrid’s Champions League group stage 4-0 win against Ludogorets in the 2014/15 season, Real Madrid’s 2-0 victory against AS Roma in the 2018/19 campaign.
Turpin has also taken charge of Madrid’s 3-2 win over Inter Milan in the 2020/21 season, Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Chelsea in the quarter-final first leg of the 2021/22 season.
He was also incharge of Real Madrid’s 1-0 win against Liverpool in the Champions League final in 2021/22 season, Real Madrid’s 3-2 win against Napoli in the Group Stage of the 2023/24 campaign and finally he was in charge of the Los Blancos’ 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Semi-final first leg of the 2023/24 campaign.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid head to the game following a 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga at over the weekend.
Man City, on the other hand, defeated Leyton Orient 2-1 in the FA Cup clash.
