He also charged prospective candidates from the town, which is the town of birth, to wait till 2030 before showing their aspirations. Raji, a Muslim leader in the town, in a viral video which was recorded at an event organised by Osogbo indigenes to galvanise unity for the town, urged the town to rally behind his boss, Governor Adeleke for another term in office. “Let us wait for five years before agitating for the governorship seat.
Osogbo’s political stakeholders must be wary of internal disunity, it could jeopardise the chances of an Osogbo indigene becoming the governor of Osun State in the year 2030.”
He emphasized the need for unity and collective effort to advance Osogbo’s political aspirations rather than selfish interests of individuals.
“Osogbo has the potential to lead Osun State, but disunity among our people remains a significant barrier. Without a united front, achieving the dream of producing a governor from Osogbo will be nearly impossible,” he said.
He called on all political actors, traditional leaders, and youth organizations in Osogbo to foster unity and work collaboratively toward achieving their shared goals.
