Tragedy Strikes a Quiet Neighborhood
Police were called to the Daczkowski home on Sunday, September 28, after neighbors heard Aga Daczkowski’s terrified screams upon discovering the bodies of her husband, Krzysztof Daczkowski, 50, and their young daughter, Julia.
According to reports from The Irish Examiner and The Irish Independent, neighbors said there were no visible signs that Krzysztof was suicidal or capable of violence. Only days earlier, many had seen him patiently teaching Julia to ride her bicycle without training wheels — a moment that has now taken on haunting significance.

Police Investigation and Community Shock
Investigators believe the Polish-born bus driver allegedly suffocated his daughter before taking his own life. Authorities have yet to determine a motive, while friends and neighbors continue to express shock over the tragedy.
Local councillor Keith Connolly described the incident as “a dreadful tragedy,” saying the community is struggling to comprehend what happened. “There is a great sense of shock about this awful tragedy in the community,” he told The Dublin Gazette.
Remembering Little Julia
Julia was remembered as a bright, joyful child who “filled every day with laughter and curiosity,” according to a local death notice. Family and friends gathered for a memorial service before her body was repatriated to Poland, where she will be laid to rest.

Speaking during an emotional tribute, her mother, Aga, vowed to stay strong: “I know I am a strong woman, I will do it for Julia. I know Julia is looking at me from heaven and will give me the power to go on.”
A GoFundMe campaign was launched to support Aga with funeral costs. “Julia’s sudden passing has left us heartbroken,” the family wrote. “We are asking for your support for her beloved mother, who is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing her child.”
