The operation commenced on Tuesday morning after officers received actionable intelligence about suspected drug-dealing activities in the area. Acting promptly on this information, EMPD members moved in and successfully apprehended five men in an initial raid.

A search of the suspects yielded 134 full Mandrax tablets and three half tablets. In a concerning discovery, one of the arrested men was also found with a quantity of gunpowder in his possession. The individual denied any knowledge or ownership of the explosive material. Authorities are now investigating a potential breach of the Explosives Act linked to this find.

Follow-Up Leads to More Arrests and Firearm Seizure

As the investigation continued, police pursued further intelligence that led them to an address in Marlands. At this location, officers arrested a sixth suspect. A search resulted in the seizure of an unlicensed pistol from this individual.

All six suspects were transported and detained at the Primrose Police Station. They are facing a series of charges, including possession of suspected narcotics, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and the potential contravention of the Explosives Act.
