MTN CEO Pledges Support For Osun Technical, Vocational Education

Dr. Toriola emphasized that MTN’s support will be channeled through the MTN Foundation which is committed to enhancing technical and vocational education in Osun State.

He identified key areas where MTN can provide support, including ICT infrastructure development, human capacity building, Renovation of classrooms amongst others. Additionally, Dr. Toriola highlighted the importance of vocational training in Nigeria, noting that it has the potential to create employment opportunities, despite being underutilized.

The meeting, which was attended by other MTN executives, including Mr Oluseye Oyelowo, Director of Government Relations and Mr Edward Fagbohun, Senior Manager for Programming Implementation where they re-emphasized the CEO’s commitment in assisting the Osun state board for technical and vocational board through the MTN foundation in making it a TVET hub in the southwest ended on a positive note with both parties expressing optimism for future collaboration and partnership.
