The car’s defining feature is its retractable hard top (RHT), which allows it to function as both a coupe and a spider. Drivers can open or close the roof in just 14 seconds, even while moving at speeds up to 45 km/h. This flexibility ensures the car’s exhilarating performance can be enjoyed in any weather. To enhance open-air comfort, an innovative wind catcher is positioned behind the seats to significantly reduce cabin turbulence.
Advanced Hybrid Powertrain
The core of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider is its award-winning twin-turbo V8 engine, which has been entirely re-engineered for this application. This internal combustion engine is paired with a state-of-the-art hybrid system that draws directly from Ferrari’s extensive motorsport experience. The hybrid group includes a rear electric motor and two more on the front axle, delivering an additional 164kW.
A key innovation is the new turbocharger, reported to be the largest ever fitted to a Ferrari production car, engineered to provide unprecedented acceleration. The system also incorporates an on-demand four-wheel drive and torque vectoring to maximize traction and handling dynamics in all driving conditions. The powertrain of the 849 Testarossa Spider is a masterpiece of electrified performance.
Driver-Focused Cockpit and New Colors
Inside, the cockpit of the Ferrari 849 Testarossa Spider is more enveloping and ergonomic. The central console, inspired by the F80 with an integrated gear-change gate, optimizes component placement for better accessibility. A new steering wheel features mechanical controls, including the iconic engine start button, to elevate the tactile driving experience while maintaining high functionality. A new Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system is designed to make interactions more intuitive.
Ferrari is also offering extensive personalization options to highlight the car’s sporty character. Two new exclusive colors have been developed for the 849 Testarossa Spider. Rosso Fiammante is a technological evolution of the classic Rosso Corsa, featuring a metallic effect that creates warm, brilliant reflections in sunlight. Giallo Ambra is an intense, warm shade with reddish hues, inspired by the depth of natural amber.
Open-Top Opulence and Customization
For the interior, a new Alcantara trim called Giallo Siena has been created to complement the Giallo Ambra exterior. This refined, sporty shade contributes to a modern and relaxing cabin environment. The custom-forged wheels, developed in synergy with Ferrari’s aerodynamic department, feature sophisticated geometries and are available in multiple configurations to suit owner preferences.
Underpinning the ownership experience is Ferrari’s extended seven-year maintenance program, which is offered with the 849 Testarossa Spider. This program covers all regular maintenance for the first seven years, ensuring the car remains at peak performance and safety. The launch of the 849 Testarossa Spider marks a new chapter for Ferrari’s open-top, hybrid supercars, blending extreme power with daily usability and bespoke luxury. ...Click to Read More >>➤
