DAILY POST reports that Neymar featured in the second half in Santos’ 1-1 draw with Botafogo in the Sao Paulo state championship.
The former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star performed well during the encounter despite his lack of reaching his fitness after a long absence from action due to injury. Speaking to reporters after the game, Neymar said he was very upset with Jesus’ words about him.
“I’m ready to play. Of course I won’t be able to play 90 minutes, I came from a long time out injured. I needed games,” Neymar said (via Fabrizio Romano).
“Obviously I was VERY upset with Jorge Jesus’ words when he said I didn’t have the capability to play like the rest of the team.”
Neymar’s contract with Al-Hilal was terminated by mutual consent few days ago.
