Evans expressed willingness to forfeit all his assets as part of a plea bargain, if the court approves his application based on compassionate reasons. However, this was stated in his plea bargain application.

Evans has offered to forfeit 14 brand new trucks to the Lagos State Government as part of a plea bargain agreement. The trucks will be sold, and the proceeds will go to the victims of previous nefarious activities.

This marks the second time Evans has sought a plea bargain in court for his role in kidnapping. In response, he requested a plea bargain from Justice Adenike Coker at the Ikeja High Court on January 30, 2025.Evans, the notorious billionaire kidnapper, has been embroiled in five separate criminal cases across various high courts in Lagos State. Out of these, two have already led to convictions.

Evans, the convicted billionaire kidnapper, has made a surprising claim, stating that he’ s undergone a transformation during his time in Kirikiri Maximum Prison. Through his lawyer, Mr. Etudo Emefo, Evans expressed remorse for his past actions, claiming he’ s now a changed person.

Apparently, the convict alleged that he received a scholarship from the Federal Government of Nigeria while incarcerated.

Evans asked the Lagos State Government for forgiveness, saying it’ s necessary for him to fully benefit from the Federal Government’ s scholarship.

He claimed that without forgiveness, the skills he learned in prison would go to waste, and the government’ s resources spent on his education would be wasted. He stated that the Federal Government provided him and other inmates the chance to further their education while incarcerated.

Meanwhile, Evans accepted the educational opportunity and received a scholarship. He successfully earned a National Certificate in Education in Economics and now works as a teacher. To support his claim, he submitted copies of his NCE certificate and project work as evidence.

He received admission to the National Open University of Nigeria through a Federal Government scholarship. As a result, Justice Sonaike postponed the case until April 17, 2025, to review the plea bargain applications. ...Read Full Article >>➤
