Tambuwal while speaking in an interview in Kaduna on Saturday said none of the party members who recently defected from PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) did so due to national interests.
According to the former governor, the ruling party lacks the needed compassion and focus to steer the affairs of Nigeria as a country. “People leave the party for different reasons. What I have been observing in the past is that defections are not in the interest of the people but based on stomach infrastructure.
“I said that because if we are talking of defection in the interest of the people, I believe you will not go to APC,” the former governor said.
Tambuwal added that the APC has almost run Nigeria aground by driving the nation and her people into economic hardship.
“If you are a politician with conscience, with the current policies being driven by APC and current economic conundrum that APC has driven Nigeria into, hardship across the country, there is nothing attractive outside stomach infrastructure.
