The crucial Kaizer Chiefs fixture is scheduled for a 15:00 kickoff. Stadium gates will open for spectators at 12:00. To manage the anticipated influx of supporters, JMPD officers will begin deployments at 11:00. Their primary focus will be on traffic flow and public safety throughout the event.

Authorities are urging all match attendees and local residents to carefully note the announced road closures and parking arrangements. They expect significant traffic congestion in the vicinity of the stadium and strongly advise the public to travel early.

Road Closures and Traffic Control Points

Starting at 11:00, JMPD will implement full road closures at several key intersections along Marambu Street. These include its junctions with Mondi Street, Mngadi/Tati Street, and Sifuba Street. Officers will also actively control traffic flow on Main Street, Luthuli Street, and Ellias Motsoaledi Street, along with their adjoining junctions.

The JMPD has issued a clear appeal to motorists. They request that all drivers exercise patience and strictly follow the directions of law enforcement personnel on the ground. Spectators are also warned against illegal parking. Vehicles found parked on pavements or street shoulders in violation of the Road Traffic Management Act will be impounded.

Designated Parking and Stadium Access

To accommodate the large crowd, official spectator parking has been arranged at three key locations. These are the Dobsonville Rugby Field, the Dobsonville Swimming Pool, and the Kopanong Community Hall. The Kopanong Community Hall will also serve as a point-of-sale for match tickets, pending availability.

Specific access routes have been established for different groups to ensure orderly entry. Emergency vehicles, team buses, and accredited staff will use the Marambu and Mondi Street access point. VIPs, media representatives, and members of the Venue Operations Centre will gain entry through the stadium’s main gate.

Residents living in the direct vicinity of the stadium must display valid access cards for security clearance. These cards should clearly show the resident’s house number and name. A robust security presence comprising JMPD, SAPS, and other event stakeholders will be on duty to maintain safety and enforce all regulations for this major Kaizer Chiefs event.
