The auction comes as part of efforts by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to recover funds linked to over R40 million in alleged unpaid taxes. The agency reportedly seized multiple assets belonging to the businesswoman earlier this year, including vehicles, machinery, and high-end personal items.

MaMkhize’s Lambo and Designer Bags Draw Big Bids

The high-profile auction, hosted by Bidder’s Choice, featured several of MaMkhize’s prized possessions, including construction vehicles linked to her company Zikhulise Group, which operates in the transport and construction sector.

Among the top-selling items was a blue 2021 Lamborghini Urus, which sold for R4.8 million, and a collection of luxury handbags that sparked fierce bidding from collectors and fans alike.

The auction officially closed on Thursday, 15 October, marking another major step in SARS’s ongoing recovery process related to MaMkhize’s tax case.

SARS Crackdown and Ongoing Investigations

MaMkhize has been under scrutiny in recent years for alleged financial irregularities. Apart from the tax dispute, she has previously faced charges including fraud, forgery, and bribery, though many of those matters have since been settled or withdrawn.

Her Premier Soccer League (PSL) club, Royal AM, was also reportedly sold earlier this year to assist in settling parts of her mounting debt.

MaMkhize Eyes New Football Investment

Despite the financial and legal turbulence, MaMkhize appears determined to remain active in football. Reports suggest she is now eyeing ownership of Eswatini’s Mbabane Highlanders FC, a club where she currently serves as president under a three-year contract.

According to Goal.com, negotiations are ongoing for her to take full control of the club — a move that could mark her return to football management under a new banner.
