He explained that he was in Abule-Egba when he received a call from his father’s wife, who informed him that his father was behaving strangely. Alarmed by the news, he rushed to his father’s residence to check on him.

The Fuji musician described how he immediately carried his father onto his lap upon arrival and asked him how he was feeling.

However, before he could even finish his sentence, his father passed away in his arms. The moment was shocking and heartbreaking for Rasheed, who had not expected to lose his father so suddenly.

Following his father’s passing, one of the Islamic clerics (Alfa) present at the scene told Rasheed that his father’s death had been predestined to happen that way.

In his words; “My father died on the 31st of July, 2015, at around 11:10 AM. I was in Abule-Egba when my father’s wife called me, saying he was behaving strangely. I rushed there immediately to see what was happening.

As soon as I arrived, I quickly carried my father onto my lap and asked him what was wrong and how he was feeling. But before I could even finish my sentence, he gave up the ghost.

Then, one of the Alfa (Islamic clerics) present told me that this was how my father was destined to die. He said, “Ajigijaga was destined to die in the hands of his firstborn,” meaning that even if it had taken me months to arrive, my father wouldn’t have passed away until I showed up.”

According to Rasheed, his father never legally married any of his wives, so none of them could claim ownership of his estate.

“After some time, she (his step-mother) later returned to the house to take all her belongings. We can’t release the house to her because my father was not legally married to any of his three wives. So, no woman can claim ownership of his properties,” he stated.

“After hearing this, she packed everything in the house, including the furniture and some electronics like the TV. However, while she was packing, I warned her not to take my father’s Quran because that was the one thing I could never let go of,” he added. ...Read Full Article >>➤
