Pa Ayo Adebanjo’ s legacy is deeply rooted in his contributions to Nigerian politics and society. Having served as the organizing secretary of the Action Group, one of Nigeria’ s first political parties advocating for regional autonomy and democracy, Adebanjo was a disciple of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, whose progressive ideologies he ardently followed.
His tenure as the national leader of Afenifere was marked by his unyielding stance against injustice and his vocal advocacy for a restructured Nigeria where every ethnic group could flourish.
