The news was revealed by Jackson Ude, a former aide to President Jonathan and a seasoned independent journalist.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ude shared the sombre news:” Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Moses Jitiboh, who was the ADC to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has died. Jitiboh died today at the Garki General Hospital, Abuja, from blood clots in his lungs. ” Jitiboh’ s death marks a significant loss, not just for his family but also for the Nigerian police force and those he served under.

His career was distinguished by dedication and notable assignments, including his tenure as ADC to Goodluck Jonathan during Jonathan’ s time as Vice President, Acting President, and later, President of Nigeria.

Jitiboh also served as ADC to Diepreye Solomon Peter (DSP) Alamieyeseigha, the late governor of Bayelsa State, before taking on his role with Jonathan. He was widely regarded as a disciplined and loyal officer, committed to his duties.

This unfortunate incident adds to the list of security aides who served under Jonathan and have passed away in recent years, highlighting an alarming trend that has left many deeply concerned.
