Davido received backlash following his interview with an American podcast where he stated that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles and that relocating to Africa was a bad move.

Many were unhappy with his remarks and bashed him for voicing out the challenges of the country that contributed to his success.

In reacting to the criticisms, Ruggedman defended Davido, stating that his comments were on point.

He also called on the government to fix the economy to prevent similar comments in the future.

According to Ruggedman, criticising Davido will not fix the country, and the hardship is unbearable for many, including the elite.

Taking to his X page, the rapper wrote, “Ok Davido has said what he said, moving forward the government should fix Nigeria so nobody will say such again. All this barking all over the place is not fixing the nation.
The hardship is too much.”
