BREAKING: Finland To Sue Tinubu For Falsely Accusing Simon Ekpa? See Facts As Biafrans’ Claim Goes Viral
A report has surfaced on social media alleging that the Finnish government is planning to sue the Nigerian government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.....Read Full Article>>
The reported lawsuit pertains to accusations against Simon Ekpa, the self- proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE).
The claim, which has sparked widespread reactions online, was cited by the LATEST_NEWS Blog on X (formerly Twitter). According to the post, it is alleged that Finland intends to sue Nigeria at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for falsely accusing Ekpa of terrorism and for alleged atrocities committed against humanity.
The viral statement reads: ” BREAKING NEWS. FINLAND TO SUE NIGERIA IN THE INT’ L COURT OF JUSTICE FOR WRONGLY ACCUSING THEIR HIGH- PROFILE CITIZEN OF TERRORISM AND ALSO ON THE INJUSTICE AND ATROCITIES COMMITTED AGAINST HUMANITY. The table is getting set. ”
A thorough review of Finnish government media platforms and official statements reveals no confirmation of such legal action. No Finnish official or agency has issued a statement supporting the viral claim.
This suggests that the report may have been fabricated, possibly to garner sympathy or attention for Simon Ekpa, who remains in custody.
Simon Ekpa, a dual Nigerian- Finnish citizen, was arrested on November 21, 2024, by Finnish authorities. The charges include allegations of terrorism, promoting economic instability, and orchestrating security breaches in Nigeria’ s southeastern region. Following his arrest, Ekpa was remanded in custody by a Finnish court.
The court also announced that his trial would commence in May 2025, ruling out the possibility of bail due to Finland’ s judicial system regulations.
Since his arrest, Ekpa’ s supporters have engaged in efforts to dispute the narrative of his detention.
Some have circulated old videos, falsely claiming that he continues to participate in BRGIE activities. These attempts appear to be aimed at undermining the credibility of the charges and creating an alternative narrative around his case.

BREAKING: Igbo Man Tears His Nigerian International Passport 48 Hours After Biafran Declaration
Barely 48 hours after the purported declaration of the United States of Biafra (USB) by certain Igbo individuals in Finland, a South- Eastern Nigerian man has publicly renounced his Nigerian citizenship.....Read Full Article>>
In a viral post shared on X (formerly Twitter) and cited by the LATEST_NEWS Blog, a user identified as @ChinoOnuh tore his Nigerian international passport in a dramatic show of defiance.
He openly denounced his ties to Nigeria, warning against being referred to as a Nigerian. In his post, @ChinoOnuh vehemently declared:” If u ever call me a Nigeria… Ekwesu kpo gi oku… It will never be well with you. ” This development follows escalating tensions surrounding the Biafra independence movement, which gained renewed attention in recent weeks.
Simon Ekpa, a self- proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, had earlier announced that Biafra independence would be declared on December 2, 2024. However, days before the scheduled declaration, Ekpa was arrested by Finnish authorities on charges of terrorism, economic sabotage, and security breaches linked to the unrest in Nigeria’ s southeast region.
Ekpa’ s arrest on November 21st led to an immediate court ruling in Finland, where he was denied bail and sent to prison. Reports suggest he may remain in custody throughout the festive season and into the new year.
Meanwhile, the actions of @ChinoOnuh and others denouncing Nigerian citizenship highlight the deep divisions and frustrations among parts of the Igbo population. The controversy surrounding Simon Ekpa, the USB declaration, and its implications for Nigeria’ s unity continues to unfold, raising questions about the future of the South- Eastern region.

BREAKING: Filling Station To Adjust Their Pumps As NNPC Announces News Fuel Price; Details Below
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a new price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), which will affect marketers looking to source fuel from its refineries.....Read Full Article>>
This latest adjustment is expected to lead pump prices down at filling stations just in time for the festive season, benefiting consumers who are likely to travel more during this period. ”
As reported by the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN), NNPCL has decreased the price of PMS from N1, 045 per litre to N1, 030 per litre for marketers.” Billy Harry, the National President of PETROAN, made this announcement during a strategic meeting and award ceremony held in Abuja.

He conveyed optimism regarding the new pricing, stating, ” Today, NNPCL has reduced their price to N1, 030.”
Despite this reduction, he noted that marketers are continuing to press the state- owned firm to lower prices further, expressing hope that additional cuts may be forthcoming.
Notably, the price set by NNPCL remains higher than that offered by Dangote Refinery, which recently cut its petrol price to N970 per litre.
This price disparity highlights the competitive landscape within the fuel market. Harry emphasized that the competition generated by such pricing is likely to help reduce fuel costs in the long run, fostering a more favorable environment for consumers.
Furthermore, Harry pointed out that the pricing structure of NNPCL makes it advantageous for retail outlet owners, allowing them to purchase smaller quantities of fuel with greater ease.
He explained, ” We are very close to NNPC because we can go there, buy one product, sell it quickly, and then come back.
But if we have to buy two million litres, we must do so collectively. ” This flexibility could play a crucial role in ensuring that marketers can respond promptly to market demands and maintain competitive pricing for consumers.
As the festive season approaches, the impact of these pricing changes will be closely monitored by both marketers and consumers alike.

JUST IN: Native Doctor Arrested for Killing Pastor for Rituals
In 2020, a horrifying case emerged in Ogun State, Nigeria, when a 48- year- old native doctor, identified as Ogunkoya, was arrested for killing Pastor Ezekiel Kalejaiye and using his body parts for rituals.....Read Full Article>>
The chilling incident was uncovered by the Ogun State Police Command during a routine stop- and- search operation along Isoyin Road. DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the State Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed the disturbing details of the crime.
According to Ogunkoya’ s confession, the pastor had visited him seeking spiritual powers to attract a larger congregation to his church. However, the native doctor saw an opportunity to use the pastor for his own sinister purposes.
Ogunkoya admitted that he prepared a sleeping solution, which he gave to the pastor. Once the pastor fell into a deep sleep, Ogunkoya used a knife to kill him. He then harvested specific body parts required for a concoction he was preparing for another client.
In his statement, Ogunkoya explained, ” The pastor came to me for power so his church could grow. I used the opportunity to use him for my personal job. I know I have done wrong, but I ask for forgiveness. This one just happened the way it did. ” He claimed to have assisted many people, including other pastors, in the past.
The native doctor’ s arrest sparked outrage and horror among the local community. Pastor Ezekiel Kalejaiye was a respected figure, and his brutal murder shocked those who knew him.
DSP Oyeyemi assured the public that thorough investigations were underway. He stated that Ogunkoya would face murder charges in court once the investigation was completed.
This tragic incident highlights the dangers of desperation and blind trust in unscrupulous individuals. The police have urged the public to be cautious and report any suspicious activities to prevent similar occurrences. Pastor Kalejaiye’ s death serves as a grim reminder of the consequences of engaging with deceitful practices in the pursuit of power or success.

Syria: Army sends reinforcements to hold back rebels in Hama
The Syrian military on Sunday sent reinforcements to halt the advance of jihadi insurgents in Hama province after the rebels seized most of the city of Aleppo and some nearby towns in a surprise offensive that is posing a massive challenge for Syria’s autocratic leader, Bashar Assad.....Read Full Article>>
The new rebel assault, led by Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), is a major escalation in Syria’s long-running civil war, which has seen relatively low-level violence since Assad regained control of two-thirds of the country several years ago with the help of allies Russia and Iran.
Russia has meanwhile continued with airstrikes on rebel positions, targeting towns and villages they hold in the northwestern province of Idlib and the central province of Hama, Britain-based opposition war monitor the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
Government pushback
The Observatory, which gets its information from a network of eyewitnesses within Syria, said the reinforcements had formed a “strong defensive line” in the countryside in the north of Hama.
According to Syrian state news agency SANA and the Observatory, the army succeeded in pushing back insurgents in the region overnight.
Syrian state television has claimed that government forces have killed nearly 1,000 insurgents over the past three days, though it gave no evidence for its figure.
Four civilians were wounded and 54 others injured in government airstrikes overnight on Idlib city, a rebel-held stronghold near Hama province that is 65 kilometers (40 miles) southeast of Aleppo, according to the Syrian Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets, which operates in opposition-held areas.
Rebels claim full control over Aleppo
With Aleppo largely in the hands of the insurgents, rebel commander Hassan Abdulghani has claimed the seizure of Sheikh Najjar, also known as the Aleppo Industrial City, northeast of the city, Aleppo’s military academy and the field artillery college to the southwest.
The Observatory has said that the rebels now control almost all of Aleppo, Syria’s second city, except for some Kurdish-ruled neighborhoods on the northwestern fringes.
“For the first time since the conflict started in 2012, Aleppo city is out of control of Syrian regime forces,” Rami Abdel Rahman, the Observatory head, told AFP and dpa news agencies, although the claim cannot yet be independently verified.
Aleppo was secured by government forces, with the help of Russian airstrikes, in 2016 in a battle that was seen as a turning point in Syria’s civil war.
Assad under pressure
President Assad said in comments released on Saturday evening that Syria would continue to “defend its stability and territorial integrity against terrorists and their supporters.”
He added that Syria was able to defeat them no matter how much their attacks intensify.
However, the rebel offensive comes at a time when his allies — Iran and groups it backs and Russia — are focusing their efforts on other conflicts elsewhere, notably in Lebanon and Ukraine.
Nonetheless, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who is to travel to the Syrian capital, Damascus, later on Sunday, told reporters that Tehran will “firmly support the Syrian government and army,” the IRNA state news agency reported.
Germany’s Foreign Ministry said all parties in Syria must adhere to international humanitarian law following the resurgence of fighting. The ministry said the civilian population and infrastructure must be protected.

JUST IN: Trump announces he intends to replace current FBI director with loyalist Kash Patel
President-elect Donald Trump said Saturday that he intends to nominate Kash Patel to serve as FBI director, in an extraordinary announcement that once in office Trump would move to replace the current director, Christopher Wray, before his term expires.....Read Full Article>>
“I am proud to announce that Kashyap ‘Kash’ Patel will serve as the next Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People,” Trump posted on Truth Social on Saturday evening.
Wray has three years remaining in his 10-year term and would have to resign or be fired to create a vacancy. Trump nominated Wray in 2017 after firing James Comey, but he began to sour on Wray before he left office in 2021. Trump’s view of the FBI only worsened after his Mar-a-Lago resort was searched in August 2022, and Trump was later indicted for allegedly retaining classified documents.
“Every day, the men and women of the FBI continue to work to protect Americans from a growing array of threats,” the agency said in a statement to CNN. “Director Wray’s focus remains on the men and women of the FBI, the people we do the work with, and the people we do the work for.”
Trump’s interest Patel speaks to his urge to fill top law enforcement and intelligence positions with supporters who may be open to carrying out his demands for specific investigations as well as inoculating the president against possible future probes.
It also sets up another potentially explosive confirmation battle in the Senate, where members are already bracing for how they’ll navigate a slew of unorthodox Trump picks. One of those picks, fellow Trump loyalist and Justice Department critic Matt Gaetz, dropped out of the fight to become attorney general as it became clear the former Florida congressman would not have the GOP support necessary for confirmation.
It’s unclear whether Patel, a firebrand, could face a similar uphill battle through the confirmation process.
Patel has heavily criticized the FBI and, in a podcast interview in September, called for the agency’s headquarters in Washington, DC, to be dismantled and turned into a “museum of the deep state.”
“The FBI’s footprint has gotten so freakin’ big,” Patel said on the “Shawn Ryan Show,” criticizing the agency’s intelligence-gathering operation.
During the interview, Patel also ridiculed the FBI for its 2022 search warrant of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, which led to charges being brought against the former president for retaining classified documents. The judge overseeing that case eventually dismissed the charges against Trump.
In a 2023 interview with Steve Bannon, a former Trump adviser, Patel said the Justice Department under Trump would “come after” members of the media.
“We’ve got to put in all-American patriots top to bottom,” Patel said of the DOJ, adding that the department under Trump “will go out and find the conspirators, not just in government but in the media.”
“Yes, we’re going to come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections – we’re going to come after you,” he said.
Earlier this month, one of the president-elect’s top advisers, Elon Musk, appeared to weigh in on Patel’s candidacy for the FBI job via X, the social media platform he owns. He responded with a “100” emoji to a top Trump ally’s tweet endorsing Patel for the job.
Even among Trump loyalists, Patel is widely viewed as a controversial figure and relentless self-promoter whose value to the president-elect largely derives from a shared disdain for the so-called deep state.
Patel rose to prominence within Trump’s orbit in 2018, when he served as an aide to Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee at the time. Patel played a key role in Nunes’ efforts to discredit the FBI’s Russia investigation into the Trump campaign, including a controversial classified memo that alleged FBI abuses of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants on Trump advisers.
In his 2023 book, “Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy,” Patel lambasted “crazed partisans” for hijacking “the law enforcement apparatus” against Trump.
Patel’s book heavily criticizes what he refers to as “the deep state” – an amorphous term he says includes elected leaders, journalists, Big Tech tycoons and “members of the unelected bureaucracy” – calling it “the most dangerous threat to our democracy.”
Patel in his book also calls for “a comprehensive housecleaning” of the Justice Department, arguing it has protected high-ranking members of the Democratic Party, failed to prosecute individuals who leaked information during the first Trump administration, and unjustly targeted Republicans and their allies.
Trump has praised the book as a “blueprint to take back the White House and remove these Gangsters from all of Government,” according to promotional endorsements of the book.
In 2019, Patel went to work for Trump on the National Security Council before becoming chief of staff to the acting defense secretary at the end of Trump’s first term.
When Trump considered firing then-CIA Director Gina Haspel after the 2020 election – as he pushed to release more information about the Russia investigation – Patel was floated as a potential replacement.
While that never came to pass, Patel has remained a fixture in Trump’s orbit, though his proximity to the president-elect has ebbed and flowed.
The mixed views of Patel among those close to Trump has been on display during the transition process as he was passed over for the job of CIA director – a role sources say he had actively lobbied for.
Multiple sources familiar with the Trump transition process previously expressed deep concerns about the possibility of Patel being named FBI director – a role where he would have vast authority to investigate the president’s political enemies, help declassify sensitive information and carry out a purge of career civil servants.
“Kash is frightening at the bureau,” a source familiar with internal deliberations about the role of FBI director previously told CNN.
FBI directors serve 10-year terms in part to shield the bureau’s leader from political pressure. FBI directors serve decadelong terms as the result of a post-Watergate law passed in response to J. Edgar Hoover’s controversial 48-year leadership of the agency.
The breaking of this norm is not new for Trump, who fired Comey shortly after taking office in 2017. Comey, who helmed the FBI during the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election as well as the Hillary Clinton email controversy, was fired by Trump in May 2017 after serving in the position for over three years.
Trump on Saturday evening also announced that he has picked Chad Chronister, sheriff of Hillsborough County, Florida, to lead the Drug Enforcement Administration in his incoming administration.

JUST IN: Trump warns BRICS nations of 100% tariffs over dollar threat
President-elect Donald Trump on Monday threatened to impose a 100 per cent tariff on the BRICS group of nations if they undermined the US dollar. “We require a commitment… that they will neither create a new BRICS currency nor support any other currency to replace the mighty US dollar, nor they will face 100 per cent tariffs,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social website.....Read Full Article>>
He referred to the grouping that includes Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and others. The statement follows a BRICS summit held last month in Kazan, Russia, where the member countries discussed enhancing non-dollar transactions and strengthening local currencies.
The BRICS group has grown significantly since its inception in 2009 and now includes nations such as Iran, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. Collectively, the coalition accounts for a substantial minority of the world’s economic output.
At the Kazan summit in October 2024, Moscow secured a joint declaration encouraging the “strengthening of correspondent banking networks within BRICS and enabling settlements in local currencies in line with the BRICS Cross-Border Payments Initiative.”
However, at the close of the summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin
noted that little progress had been made on launching a potential competitor to the Belgium-based SWIFT financial messaging system.
“As for SWIFT and any alternatives, we have not created and are not creating any alternatives,” Putin told reporters after the summit.
He added, “As for a unified BRICS currency, we are not considering that question at the moment.”
Trump has vowed to pursue a protectionist agenda, threatening substantial tariffs on both neighbours and rivals.
If BRICS countries continue with their plans, Trump warned, they “should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful US economy.
“They can go find another ‘sucker!’ There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the US dollar in international trade, and any country that tries should wave goodbye to America,” he wrote.
PUNCH Online reports that the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eche Abu-Obe, confirmed that Nigeria had joined BRICS as a partner nation.
“Yes, it is true that Nigeria has joined BRICS as a partner,” he said.
Nigeria’s inclusion as a partner country aligns with previous statements made in November 2023 by Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar, who expressed the country’s intention to join BRICS as a full member within the next two years, leveraging its large economy and population.

BREAKING: Police Arrest Principal As SS3 Student Drowns In School
The principal of Government Technical College, Ogor, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State has been arrested by operatives of the state police command following the alleged drowning of an SS3 student of the school identified as ThankGod Emumirigwe, in a borrow pit within the school premises.....Read Full Article>>
The deceased, from the Mechanical Department of the technical school, was said to have drowned while bathing in the borrow pit after having participated in a grass cutting exercise in the school last Friday.
Sources said that students of the school had earlier in the day gone for grass cutting exercise. When they finished working at about 11am, some of them went to the borrow pit to freshen up.
“As they were bathing, it was discovered that the boy was drowning. Some of the students who were with him brought him out and then alerted the school authority,” a source said.
However, the deceased reportedly died on his way to the hospital and was officially confirmed dead on arrival by the hospital management.
One of our sources alleged that the principal was initially approached and enjoined to rush the drowned boy to the hospital but he directed that the labour master be called.
But the labour master was reportedly not around at the time of the incident.
The principal was accused of resorting to videoing the students as he allegedly thought they were probably pretending.
Efforts were eventually made to look for a commercial tricycle, otherwise known as ‘Keke’ to rush the student to a nearby hospital were he was confirmed dead.
Consequently, the ugly incident reportedly sparked a mass protest by students of the school who vandalised a building harbouring the principal’s office in the school.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe told journalists that “It was a sudden unnatural death, SUD”.
“He (the boy) died in a pond at the school’s premises while doing labour. He was working. He died while on his way to the hospital”, the PPRO said.
Our correspondent could not however confirm whether or not the arrested principal had been released by the police from Ughelli Area Command as of the time of filing this report.

My Relationship Ended Because My Fiancé’s Pastors Said I Wasn’t The One For Him – Nigeran Lady Shares Her Journey To Healing
Ada who shared her story on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, said the ‘prophecy’ came after one of the pastors allegedly invited her to Nekede and she declined. A Nigerian lady, Ada Seraphina Okoro, has spoken about how her relationship ended after her fiancé’s pastors said she wasn’t the one for him.....Read Full Article>>
In a lengthy Facebook post, she stated that she has embraced healing and forgiveness as she has decided to move on with her life. Ada who shared her story on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, said the ‘prophecy’ came after one of the pastors allegedly invited her to Nekede and she declined.
“Sharing my story without any grudge whatsoever and I do not want anyone to use the care button or pity me… I have healed and I have moved on,” she wrote.
”It will be in your best interest to learn from it and to not ask me personal questions aside what I’d drop here. No one fo.rced me to share this, I’m sharing this because I want to and for someone out there to learn too.
My last serious relationship ended because my fiancé pastors gave the order that I wasn’t the one for him… He met these pastors when he had financial issues and we resulted to prayers.
Mind you, this message came after the pastor visited Nekede and I was in IMSU then, asked me to come see him in Nekede and I declined.
That was when he did everything possible to end my relationship and he did. I never told my fiancé then about this until years later when he came to ask for forgiveness.
When this relationship ended, two things filled my heart, regret and fear. Regret for telling other men away. There’s one of my suitors then here, he’s my follower, this guy chased me for years even when he knew I was in a serious relationship but I declined because I was being loyal, like I said, it’s my curse, I can’t date more than one person
Today he’s married and if the tables were turned and if given the opportunity, he still love to get married to me… But what’s not meant to be is not meant to be, you can’t fo.rce it.
This breakfast really messed me with me and it was my late grandma and my ex fiancé neighbor that helped me through it in the major part of it all.. the neighbor, a married guy calls me everyday from Turkey just to know how I was and to always remind me that I was too good for him…
Truly, I am. Have you met me? I’m fvcking intelligent, ambitious and… Nah just Nigeria dey dull my shine.
The reason for his kindness was cus I was nice to him, whenever I was around and he’s hungry, he comes to the house then to ask me for food, he loves eating my food… Anytime I was at my fiancé place, his neighbors were always delighted cus they know that they will eat to their fill…
Before my ex fiancé left the country, he came to my store, announced to visit me and asked for forgiveness, I did forgive him.
It will shock you that he’s also a follower here.
Went for prayer after then and the first thing the pastor told me was… Let it go!.
I was confused I didn’t understand so I asked her, let what go? She said, all that h.ate, ange.r and regret, let it go… She said there’s someone that you are so angry with it, forgive him and be free…
Lord knows the only person I was angry at was my ex fiancé, omo I bursted into tears, nah so pastor console me, did therapy for me and we prayed…
Since that day till now, I see my experience in a different way. I have forgiven, let go, moved on…
It was not meant to be cus I also held our marriage from happening because I was waiting for something that he needed to be fix…
I told him that he must fix it if not, no marriage untill we fix it… Then the breakup happened.
I’m a kind woman, if you experience me, you’d understand but I’m not nice cus I’m also capable of fvcking you up if you mess up.
That said… If you are a woman that have something similar to my experience, I’d urge you to let go! It’s not easy but let go and be free like a bird like me…
If you are also in any relationship, make sure that the choices that you are making will favour you on the long run so you don’t regret.
As for me, I’d love to get Married, that is if I meet my kind of man, aside that, I’m not marrying
If marriage doesn’t come, I just want to have money and food an access to good life until my creator calls… I have kuku experience marriage without the papers so…
That said, henceforth, when I talk about my relationship in other to buttress my point, resist the urge to ask me sil.ly questions because most of you know nothing about these things…
It’s only to ask yeye logic questions, that’s all you know how to do… Anyways. I’m Ada, a strong, kind, beautiful woman

As A Mortuary Technician, Here’s The Creepy Truth About What We Do With Your Organs After You di3
A mortuary technician has managed to make a whole lot of people shudder with her explanation of what happens to your organs after you di3.....Read Full Article>>
“During a postmortem examination, people seem to think that your organs are put back where nature intended,” a technician named Hayleigh, who goes by @themortuarytech on TikTok, revealed online.
“They’re not.” Hayleigh’s job as a mortuary involves working at a funeral home to prepare body parts and entire bodies for embalming, burial, or cremation. In a clip of her appearance on a recent podcast interview, the parts pro described in depth what morticians do with your insides.
“They’re all put in a clinical bag back inside your torso, and your chest cavity and your stomach/abdomen, and you’re sutured back up. So your brain’s not in your head,” she added.
Hayleigh explained the organs are not put back into the original location because once a part is cut out, you can’t just shove it back.
The mortuary worker’s explanation left the podcast hosts shocked.
“Oh my god. [That] really freaked me out a bit,” unveiled Billy. “Just thrown in like a goody bag.”
Many people online were spooked out by the revelation, wishing they didn’t know.
“I absolutely wish I didn’t know that,” confessed one person.
“Seems I’ve taken a terribly wrong turn somewhere along my TikTok journey,” commented a watcher.
“Whoever digs us up in 3,000 years are gonna question everything,” joked another.
What exactly goes on with bodies after we die has been in the news lately, with one prominent NYC funeral home chain facing fines and potential license revocation after a New York State Department of Health investigation, The Post reported earlier.
The Bronx-based R.G. Ortiz Funeral Homes is additionally accused of improperly caring for a body that allegedly languished for eight days inside a viewing room, according to an attorney suing the company on behalf of a devastated family.
“Eight days in the viewing room — unrefrigerated and unembalmed,” lawyer Phil Rizzuto told The Post. “I can’t imagine how. The body must have smelled, no?”
And just this week, the owners of a Colorado funeral home pleaded guilty to corpse abuse after being accused of piling 190 bodies inside a room temperature building and passing off dry concrete as the ashes of loved ones, the Associated Press reported
