According to Obasanjo, he woke up to false reports on social media claiming he had passed away. He said a close ally had informed him of the death rumours, prompting him to check social media, where he confirmed the false reports.

The former president said he was surprised to see people wishing him dead. Obasanjo said he shared the news with my family and friends, wondering why anyone would wish me harm.

The former Nigerian leader also took the opportunity to warn those who think ill of him, stating that they will not escape tragedy. According to him, those who wish me dead may have their wish, but it will not come to pass.

In addition to addressing the death rumours, Obasanjo also commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his exceptional performance in Osun State. He predicted that Adeleke’s second term would be assured, citing his impressive achievements in office.

In a recent interview, Davido expressed his concerns about the state of the Nigerian economy, stating, “The economy is in shambles, and Americans should not bother to relocate to the country or invest in it.” He elaborated, “Leave America and go where? Go back where? It’s not cool back home. My country now, the economy is in shambles. The exchange rate is messed up.

A lot of stuff not going well. The economy is not just good anymore. The oil prices are too high. Imagine a country that produces oil. We produce the oil and we paying more money for oil than a country that imports the oil.”

Nyma Akashat Zibiri countered Davido’s statement, arguing that his comments were detrimental to President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to attract foreign investors. She also defended the removal of fuel subsidies as a positive step taken by the current administration.

In response, Verydarkman challenged Zibiri to provide evidence of the investors brought into the country by President Tinubu and his cabinet. He argued that the president was more focused on securing loans rather than fostering genuine investment relationships. Verydarkman further claimed that most investors were involved in illicit deals with politicians over the country’s resources.

While acknowledging that Davido might not be in the best position to prevent foreign investments, Verydarkman emphasized that the singer’s comments were rooted in the harsh economic realities faced by many Nigerians. He pointed out that several top companies, including Cusson, Kimberly-Clark, and Microsoft, had exited Nigeria due to the challenging business environment.

Our correspondent observed that Shuaibu’s posters are prominently displayed around key locations in the state capital, particularly at a major roundabout between Jos, Doma, and Alamis Market Roads.

They also line Shendam Road, leading to the Government House, and stretch to the Emir’s Palace, outshining those of other political aspirants.

Dr. Shuaibu, who has not made any formal declaration, is believed to be among the frontrunners to contest for governor on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

A political associate, who wished to remain anonymous, said Shuaibu has deep political roots in the Nasarawa West Senatorial District and that this, along with his success in eradicating polio in Nigeria, made him the candidate to beat for the APC ticket.

However, some residents have expressed dissatisfaction with the proliferation of campaign posters, calling them an eyesore and a disruption to the environment.

One resident, Ibrahim Audu, complained, “The posters have made our streets dirty. They even appear at our homes without consent, which is unsettling.”

Despite these concerns, others believe the posters raise awareness about the upcoming elections. Some allege that political thugs are involved in the distribution, often doing so at odd hours for financial gain.

The couple, who tied the knot two weeks ago, made their first appearance at an award ceremony during the weekend.

Charles Okocha’s wife had worn a cut-out green dress, which displayed her incredible physique and washboard abs.

Unfortunately, her outfit didn’t sit well with many, including Ossai Success, who, via his Instagram page, berated her.

He expressed disappointment at the actor for allowing his wife to “dress half-naked” adding that married women should be decently dressed in public.

Ossai Success stated that Charles Okocha’s wife’s  outfit is more suitable for an “undisciplined single woman”, and admonished the actor to exercise more control over her outfit.

His lengthy post reads;

“I am disappointed in Charles Okocha for allowing his wife to dress half-n*ked during an award ceremony last night.

Last night, I was taken aback by Charles Okocha’s wife’s outfit at an award ceremony.

A man with respect for the marriage institution won’t allow his wife to dress in this manner.
As someone who considers Charles a brother, I was shocked and disappointed by his lack of intervention.

A married woman should dress modestly, especially in public.

Charles’ wife’s dress seemed more suitable for an undisciplined single woman, and I initially mistook her for someone else.

As a husband, I believe it’s essential to have control over your partner’s manner of dressing, especially when it comes to public appearances.

As a man, once you allow your wife to dress half-n*ked, then you have lost control of your home.
Charles should have exercised more control over his wife’s outfit choice.

I’m not trying to be judgmental, but I think Charles failed by allowing his wife to dress in this manner.
His wife’s manner of dressing reflected poorly on him, and I hope he’ll take steps to address this issue in the future”.
